Ella Brown
“Soccer has really helped me…the team really helped me in the game, and it gave me friends to rely on.”
Ella is a junior at Sharon High School. She started playing soccer for the SAYSA Shenango Area Youth Soccer Association when she was in elementary school. She began playing for Sharon Middle School in seventh grade. Ella then joined the Sharon Varsity Girls Soccer Team this past year. She is a defensive player. She also has played softball since she was 6 years old for several Sharon teams.
Katie Krecek
“Soccer has taught me about leadership and companionship.”
Katie is a senior at Sharon High School. She has played soccer since she was in kindergarten and it has become a huge part of her life ever since. She has been playing all year round for the last 6 years. Katie is a three-year captain for the varsity soccer team at Sharon. She plays goalkeeper, and she surpassed 500 career saves this past season. With 568 career saves, she now holds the Mercer County record for most saves for girl’s soccer. Katie received the honor of making the first all region team, as well as the region player of the year. In October, she was named Reinhart’s Mercer County Athlete of the Month. She intends on furthering her soccer career at the collegiate level.
